Jerrol Golden, founder of Golden Travel, has a passion for travel and exploration—and for sharing her discoveries with others.

Wanderlust is in Jerrol’s blood. She has journeyed to more than 100 countries, including trekking mountains in Ladakh, Bhutan, and the Pyrenees; discovering historical wonders like Choquequirao in Peru and the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Trail in Japan; and cruising the world—most recently as deputy director of International Public Relations for Holland America Line. She’s also cycled through the Jura Mountains in France, Puglia and Tuscany in Italy, and more.

As an aficionado of fine wines, she has enjoyed tastings from Portugal to France, Argentina, and beyond.

An avid scuba diver, she’s marveled at seascapes in Palau, Raja Ampat, Komodo, Cenderawasih (Indonesia), Palawan, Bohol (Philippines), the Great Barrier Reef (Australia), and the Andaman Islands (India). Her adventurous expeditions include a memorable plunge at the North Pole.

Jerrol sees travel as a source of education and cultural connection in this vast and beautiful world.

Now settled in Santa Barbara, she has drawn on two decades of experience in the cruise and travel industries to found Golden Travel, an independent affiliate of Santa Barbara Travel Bureau.
